flags

Flags are an easy way to add a little extra something to your cupcakes, sandwiches, whoopie pies, etc.  You can make them out of paper but did you know that you can make them out of ribbon, too?  You can see a couple of examples here and here.  Take a look at a tutorial from Peach and Pearl here.

more food description cards

These food description cards made for another party were a little more complicated and time-consuming than the ones in the last post, but well worth it!  I used the template from Paper Source's Butterfly Kit (reduced a little bit), brown floral wire and solid-colored paper.

food description cards

These were food description cards made with a heart-shaped punch, card stock and IKEA wrapping paper that I used in a tea party last year.  I loved how quick they were to make!

s'mores bowl

One night we wanted s'mores for dessert but didn't want to have to handle the ooey gooey mess.  So, we tossed a couple of handmade marshmallows, squares of Hershey's chocolate and Earth's Best Organic Crunchin' Grahams (it's what we had in the pantry) into a little bowl and zapped it in the microwave.  Definitely as tasty (but not as messy) as the handheld version!
